A striking façade defined by its distinctive palette of three zinc colours, the Queen Elizabeth Teaching & Learning Centre showcases a refined rectilinear shingle format with carefully executed offset joints. Working alongside the architect and main contractor, we took the design intent and developed the technical approach that made the façade achievable in practice — from the detailing of the shingles to the way each element came together during fabrication.
Our team produced the full suite of zinc shingles and associated flashings in-house, ensuring precision, consistency, and complete alignment with the architectural vision. The result is a robust, meticulously detailed envelope that brings texture, rhythm, and colour variation to the building, all while meeting the functional demands of a major healthcare campus.
