Gilmours delivered a bespoke aluminium rainscreen for the Monk Bridge Viaduct Link, designed to echo the rhythm of the surrounding brickwork and integrate seamlessly with the development’s wider material palette. Each interlocking 2 mm aluminium plank was fixed to a box-section framework to create the castellated profile, then fabricated, pressed and finished in a powder coated weathering-steel-look developed to match the project’s tone. The system was assembled post-coating to ensure precision alignment across the elevation, supported by coordinated flashings, copings and lift-shaft interfaces for a fully resolved architectural envelope.
