Gilmours delivered the aluminium cladding package for Edinburgh Gateway, a key transport hub linking rail and tram routes on the approach to Edinburgh Airport. The station’s main façade is formed from natural anodised aluminium plank panels arranged in a subtle five-tone variation, creating gentle movement across the elevation. This material language continues through the underpass, where powder-coated aluminium kassett panels of varied depths wrap walls and soffits, transitioning seamlessly from vertical to horizontal planes. Each element is finished for longevity with durable coatings and anti-graffiti protection—supported by flashings, cappings and a complete structural support system that ensures consistency and refinement throughout the architectural envelope.
